Established in 2005, Kings Avenue Station was the first Transit Oriented Development in the city of Jacksonville, FL. The project is located at 1201 Kings Avenue, and was developed as a partnership between the Jacksonville Transit Authority and Kings Avenue Redevelopment LLC.

This Public Private Partnership has been a huge success for the city thus far, and has helped revitalize downtown development along the Kings Avenue corridor in the Southbank neighborhood of downtown Jacksonville.

Phase I of this development began in 2005, consisting of a 230-room twin flag Hilton brand hotel, Hilton Garden Inn and Hilton Homewood Suites.

Adjacent to the hotel is the site's proposed phase II development. This beautiful state of the art 200,000 sf office building is proposed to become the new headquarters for the Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA).

Some of the sites wonderful benefits to the  community include both its walk-ability, ample parking (1650 structured garage spaces) and access to public transit: JTA's Downtown Skyway system, BRT - Bus Rapid Transit service, JTA's airport shuttle, the upcoming Ultimate Urban Circulator (U2C)  and the new Beachside Buggies electric car service. No where else in the city can you find such connectivity to the surrounding communities in Jacksonville.
